Crime Stoppers of Niagara Safe School Program has been keeping schools safe by providing students with a safe and anonymous way to report crime and potential dangers on their campus and in their community. In addition to our TipLine, safety presentations are offered to students with an underlining message of good citizenship and keeping themselves safe, parents are presented with tools and tips for keeping their child safe and training is available to school staff and school-based law enforcement officers to assist in keeping students and schools safe. The Safe School Program educates students from grade 1 to grade 12 in Niagara Regional school districts, including private and catholic schools.
For elementary students, presentations are video based and cover topics related to personal safety and anti-victimization. Important child safety tips are shared with parents.
For middle and high school students, the goal of the program is to educate students on crime prevention, current trends in criminal activity, how to identify threats to the school campus, and how to safely and anonymously report criminal activity through our Tip Line Program.
